I went to Golf on 25th Sat. I joined golf team and we went to Tainan by bus. Our team has about 30peoples and we lent a big bus for our team and went together .We left to Tainan about 5:00 early morning, and arrived there 7:30.
We started to play at 8:00. It was a good weather at there, not cold not hot.
I didn't go to golf course for 6months and I didn't very often to practise it, so I almost forget how to play golf.... hahaha .....
That was why my score was no good!!!!  I could find a good excuse.
My score was not excellent, although, I was very fun! Because I could meet a lot of friends, chat with them and I could walk around beautiful natural place.
Later we went to restaurant and ate roasted chickens and drank beer.
After I did sports, I ate good meal and drank beer, I could refresh my life.

Dongzhi Festival

Today is the Winter Solstice (Dongzhi), which will be the shortest day and
longest night of the year.  It is also one of the most important festivals
celebrated by the Chinese and other East Asians.
In China, traditionally, the Dongzhi Festival is also a time for the family to
gettogether. One activity that occurs during these get together is the
making and eating of Tanyuan (湯圓), balls of glutinous rice, which symbolize
reunion.I also ate many Tanyuan with my friends tonight.
Japanese also have several customs for the winter solstice which is called
“Toji” in Japanese. Not being religious rituals these customs have developed
with the intention of fortifying the body for the cold weather to come and also
of adding color and fun to these darkest and gloomiest of days.

The most commonly practiced custom for the winter solstice is putting
YUZU(柚子), a type of citrus fruit, in the bath. This is called YUZUYU (柚子湯).
The yuzu is the hardiest and most cold resistant citrus fruit, and thus
represents human resistance to winter’s harsh chill. Its aroma, which fills the
steamy bathroom when the fruits are placed in the bath, is believed to be
therapeutic, and certainly makes you fun from your everyday bath.
If you go to a hot spring or public bath on the solstice day you will find lots of YUZU
floatingin the water!

 "Yuzuyu"  Japanese hot spring

There are also certain foods which are customarily eaten on Winter Solsticethe.
It is common to have pumpkin, which is rich in vitamins, helps us not to catch a cold.

Flora Expo in Taipei

I went to Taipei International Flora Expo with my friends on last Sunday.
There are 3areas, Yuan shan park, Xin sheng park, and Dajia riverside park.
We entered at Yuan shan park and went to Xin shneng park later.
It was nice weather on last Sun, so there were a lot of people at there.
That was why we had to wait for entering at pavilion.
We saw many types of garden, for example, Philippine, Australia, Thailand,
USA, Butane and Japan.
For me, it was most impression place of Expo is Future Pavilion at Xin Shng park.
Because we can learn how a peaceful coexistence between the human race and
plants plays out. We also can see many types of plants for various environment.
For example, there are plants of tropical rain forest, subtropical zone, desert area,
and alpine plants.
I was very interested in cactuses, because there were many different types of cactus.
If I have one more chance, I want to go there again.

Shooting stars

I go to sports ground almost every night, I walk and run about 4km.
Tonight was very special and memorable because I saw "shooting stars"
When I run there and I casually saw the sky, I found out the something
shined. I watched carefully. It flew away to the north and disappeared.
I shouted "It was shooting star" I have heard before when I see a shooting
star,if I pray your wish to shooting stars, my wish is granted.
But It was too fast to pray for my wish. It already disappeared...
Then after I finish my running, I went back to my room, I saw it again.
I saw it twice tonight. I believe I have a good luck next year.

Feng Chia Night Market's Top4 Foods

Takoyaki (octopus balls) is a popular Japanese dumpling.
You can eat Takoyaki in Taiwan.“Zhang yu shao” (章魚燒) is
Takoyaki’s Chinese name. But Feng-chia night market’s
Zhang yu shao is different from others. It is much bigger
than others, the name is “shuang xiang pao” (雙響炮)
There are 2balls in one set. One is sea food ball and the other
is meat ball. Ssa food ball has squid and quail's egg and meat
ball has pork and sausage in side balls. One ball’s size is about
6cm in diameter.
When they make Zhang yu shao, it is used of Takoyaki pan which
made of cast iron with half-spherical molds. They are flipping with
a pick to make balls. After baking it, it is put on the box and topped
with sauce, mayonnaise, and fish shavings.
They have a lot of taste, for example, Original taste, Hot Chile taste,
Mustard taste, Sea moss taste and Curry taste. There is 2balls in
one set you can choose different taste. Today I choose Curry and Sea moss.
It is different taste of Japanese Takoyaki, however, shuang xiang pao is also
very delicious and unique style.
When you visit Feng-chia night market, please try it!
